What we say
The premiere Caribbean upgrade
The Kura Hulunda is the total fusion of the 18th/19th Century Dutch Colonial Caribbean with the necessities of today's luxury traveler. Cobblestone paths lead guests through a historic neighborhood that features 80 guest rooms, two gorgeous pools, the Kura Hulanda Spa, the historic Kura Hulanda Museum, the Astrolab Observatory Restaurant, Sculpture Garden Restaurant, Museum Restaurant, Jaipur Restaurant, the News Cafe, and Jacob's Bar which overlooks the Village Square where you can hear live music while sipping a delicious mojito. Entrepreneur Jacob Gelt Dekker and his friendly and inviting staff sets the stage for a vacation like no other.

Definitely like no other hotel/resort I've ever stayed at before. The whole complex is like a little colonial village, which sounds kitschy, but it was actually very charming and tastefully done. Several good dining options on site, including al fresco. They have shuttle vans that'll take you to the beach. It's within walking distance of Old Town Willemstad, the capital. At night you can here what must have been a bagilion frogs chirping, but it wasn't an annoying sound at all, it was other-worldly and very pleasant. Painfully romantic, and I can't rave about this place enough.
So, what do you say?
